Ocean Park Corporation welcomes the 2025–26 Budget

2025-02-26

Ocean Park Corporation (OPC) welcomes the Government’s 2025–26 Budget, which reinforces the Government’s commitment to implementing the concept of "Travel is anywhere in Hong Kong" and the Development Blueprint for Hong Kong’s Tourism Industry 2.0.

Paulo Pong, Chairman of Ocean Park Corporation, said, "We will continue to capitalise on opportunities presented by the panda craze and mega-event economy. Through collaborative projects with tourism, retail, creative, sports, conservation, education sectors and more, we aim to enhance the holistic travel experience in Hong Kong."

Following the arrival of giant pandas An An and Ke Ke, and the birth of Hong Kong’s first giant panda twins last year, OPC has been promoting the panda fever in full force while enhancing its panda-themed attractions and retail offerings.

The variety of new panda-themed experiences launched by Ocean Park include Panda Wonders: An Illuminated Journey – an immersive experience zone developed in collaboration with renowned creative talents, and The Cubs' Channel – an interactive attraction designed to help visitors from all over the world learn more about pandas and even experience what it's like to be a panda 'nanny'. In addition, the Giant Panda Poo Paper Workshop where participants can create paper from panda poop, and the Wowotou Studio which allows visitors to prepare pandas’ favourite food items.

OPC also welcomes the Budget's support in boosting the city’s efforts to attract tourists from Middle Eastern and ASEAN markets, as these promotional efforts will help expand Ocean Park’s overseas reach. Recently, the Park has become one of the few tourist attractions in Hong Kong to receive the Gold Certification from CrescentRating, the highest accreditation awarded by the internationally recognised halal travel promotion company.
