Terokai apa itu Ocean Park.
This holiday season, Ocean Park has brought two edutainment programmes for students of all abilities, aimed at spreading happiness while instilling in young minds the significance of positive thinking, environmental protection and sustainable development.
In collaboration with the Little Prince Foundation, the Park hosted a unique visit, on 17 December, for 29 students from the Early Intervention Programme of The Ebenezer School and Home for the Visually Impaired to embark on Le Petit Prince’s Galactic Voyage alongside their families and caretakers.
The highlight of the visit was an enchanting storytelling session led by a local illustrator Steven Choi. Additionally, the 164-person group was treated to a guided tour of the immersive Le Petit Prince's Starry Universe, which brings to life the beloved Le Petit Prince stories and wisdoms from the story, promoting love, compassion and the spirit of exploration.
Besides that, Ocean Park played host to The Global Citizenship and the Future of Humanity Seminar cum 2023–2024 Peace School Programme Kick-off co-organised by UNESCO Hong Kong Association Glocal Peace Centre and Rotary Action Group for Peace HK & Macao Chapter at the Applause Pavilion on 22 December. As a territory-wide educational initiative, the Programme nurtures positive values for peacebuilding in children’s minds, and supports schools in their Other Learning Experience (OLE) and Life Wide Learning (LWL) activities.
Ivan Wong, Chief Executive of Ocean Park Corporation (OPC), said: “At OPC, our pride stems from our unwavering commitment to supporting education for the youth, including those with special educational needs. We have always pledged to play a pivotal role in raising awareness of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals while actively contributing to the Goals through various community and sustainability endeavours.
“We are glad to be supporting UNESCO Hong Kong Association and Rotary Action Group for Peace HK & Macao Chapter’s Peace School Programme two years in a row. With more than 20 activities curated by Ocean Park Academy Hong Kong (OPAHK), we hope to promote positivity in young people and inspire a new generation of environmentally conscious individuals who will be the agent of change for a sustainable planet.”
Ocean Park looks forward to spreading joy and creating cherished memories for all visitors during this festive season. Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas filled with laughter, warmth and happiness.
