オーシャンパークのことをもっとよく知ろう!
Ocean Park is rolling out its Island South Discovery series, a brand-new marine tourism initiative. It continues the Park’s commitment to conservation and education by offering different marine edutainment adventures off the stunning southern shore of Hong Kong Island for children and adults. Visitors can start enrolling for the first adventure in the series, Little Voyager, on Klook today.
The Ocean Park Island South Discovery series follows the launch of the Park’s chartered ferry service during weekends and public holidays for visitors. The ferry transfers visitors between Aberdeen and Water World via Ap Lei Chau with the opening of the Ocean Park Tai Shue Wan pier earlier this month.
Get On Board Little Voyager
Led by Ocean Park’s Whiskers Villagers, children and adults will enjoy a ferry ride that features an overview of marine conservation and culture on the south side of town. They will also have the chance to participate in interactive games, soak in all the beautiful views of Hong Kong’s southern coastline and learn fun facts about marine conservation.
Two itineraries are available for exploration: the Central and Southern District routes.
Route One: Little Voyager – Central
Whiskers Villagers will introduce participants to Hong Kong Island’s historical hidden gems. They include the Sai Wan Swimming Shed, originally built 50 years ago for swimmers to change into bathing costumes, the Green Island Lighthouses constructed in 1875 and 1905, respectively, and the Waterfall Bay, where the Pokfulam Fire Dragon would be sent off onto the waves during the Mid-Autumn Festival. Participants will learn more about Hong Kong’s fishing activities, modern development, and marine and coastal defence throughout the one-hour journey. They will also hear about the history of Waterfall Bay, the fishing moratorium and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter.
Route Two: Little Voyager – Southern District
On this route, participants will see fascinating sightseeing spots, including the Aberdeen Wholesale Fish Market, the Ap Lei Chau Hung Shing Temple and shipyards. The 45-minute tour will offer a glimpse into Hong Kong’s fishing heritage and traditions and the lifestyle of Hong Kong’s local fishermen.
