Greetings from the heart-melting giant panda twins! The twin cubs born to Ying Ying on 15 August are now two-week old. Their body weight has doubled, and their distinctive eye circles and dark arms are becoming more prominent.
The twin girl weighs around 328g, while her brother weighs around 278g. Their iconic black patches continue to grow on their tiny pink bodies, which will be fully covered by black and white fur in two weeks.
It will be at least another month before the cubs can see and at least two months before they can hear, so they continue to rely on Ying Ying and the dedicated care team. As Ying Ying recovers and her maternal instincts kick in, she is becoming more involved in caring for her cubs. She spends her day cuddling, grooming and feeding one twin at a time while experts from the China Conservation and Research Centre for the Giant Panda (CCRCGP) and the Park's animal care team help rotate the cubs, ensuring both receive equal attention.
Ocean Park remains committed to working closely with the CCRCGP to provide the best possible care for these precious twins. The public can stay updated on the cubs' progress by following Ocean Park's official social media channels.
