Giant Panda Poo Paper Workshop

You may have heard of traditional ways to make paper, but it turns out giant panda poop can also be used in this progress!

Whiskers Villagers will teach us how to be a recycled paper expert through making recycled paper from sterilized giant panda poo. Parents and children can learn more about the diet of giant pandas through observing the poo! Come join us and share the conversation message with your loved ones.

    Programme Details

    Date: 16 February 2025 – 27 July 2025
    Programme Duration: 45 minutes
    Programme Time: 11:00 am - 11:45 am
    Gathering Time: 10:55 am
    Gathering Location: Outside Whiskers Village Activity Centre (Inside Whiskers Harbour)
    Capacity: 30 per session
    (The programme will be cancelled if there is less than 3 participants per session)
    Language: Cantonese, supplemented with simple English
    Remarks:
    • Programmes are subject to change and/or cancellation due to venue without prior notice.
    • Each paying participant is eligible for one set of materials pack. Each material pack could be used by:
      • One child aged 3-11 with an accompanying adult aged 18 or above; or
      • One participant aged 12 or above. 
    • Please read programme information before enrolment.
    • Enrolment deadline: 2 days before the commencement of each class. 
    • If participants are allergic to certain food/objects/animal, kindly indicate the conditions clearly on the application form. This information could help us understand them better and provide any support or assistance when needed.
    • If participants are unable to attend the session after payment, no refund or reschedule will be made.
    • If there is a need to apply for sick leave, please inform us in advance. Relevant substantiation documents have to be provided. An administration fee of HK$100 will be charged to each course amendment, sick leave (except providing medical certificate with the designated programme date of the participant) or refund request.

    • Please read programme information before enrolment.
    • Enrolment deadline: 2 days before the commencement of each class. First come, first served whole quota lasts.
    • One enrolment form is for one participant and one programme only.
    • Enrolment will be postponed for 1 day if the following circumstances occur at 12:00nn: 
      • Tropical Cyclone Signal Number 8 or above is issued by the Hong Kong Observatory; 
      • Black Rainstorm Warning is issued by the Hong Kong Observatory. 
    • The selected programme code, date, time, meal’s selection (if applicable), and participant’s information and email cannot be changed or rescheduled. All payments made are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Please make sure the programme dates fit in participant’s schedule before enrolment.
    • Participants will receive a confirmation letter via email once the payment has been received. Please pay attention to the spam or junk mailboxes of your email account.

    On-site Application

    Onsite enrolment is available at Village Station during its opening hours until 5 minutes prior to the session starting time. Onsite Payment must be made by electronic payment (only Octopus and credit card are available), cash payment will not be accepted. All quotas will be on a first-come, first-served basis while quota lasts.
