(Hong Kong – 11 October 2007) Hong Kong’s two young giant pandas, Ying Ying and Le Le, are celebrating their first Halloween Bash at Ocean Park this year. Ying Ying and Le Le could not wait to get their paws on the pumpkins prepared for them, and devoured them in minutes as excited guests looked on!
These two young pandas were gifts from the Central People’s Government of China to the people of Hong Kong to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Since their arrival in Hong Kong on 26 April 2007, they have been staying at the Hong Kong Jockey Club Giant Panda Habitat in Ocean Park, joining the two other giant pandas, An An and Jia Jia, who have been residents at Ocean Park since 1999.
