For the health and safety of all participants and staff, every participant must meet the following Rules and Regulations in order to participate in the programme. Participants must be aware that such programme involves a degree of unpredictability, where quick reactions and strict attention to directions from the Park's staff are essential. If at any time during the programme, any participant is assessed by the Park's staff as not being able to fulfil the following criteria, he/she will be asked to leave the Park and he/she must immediately comply with such directions.
1. All dogs must have been duly inoculated against rabies and be accompanied by a valid dog license issued by Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department. All dogs must be implanted with a microchip for identification and must be scanned upon entry.
2. All dogs must be fully vaccinated against common infectious diseases at least 14 days prior to the event, which include:
• Canine distemper,
• Canine parvovirus, and
• Any such additional diseases as the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department may consider appropriate.
3. Participants should pay attention to the safety of themselves and their dogs, and keep their dogs under control effectively, in order not to cause any loss of dogs, nuisance or danger to other people and dogs.
4. All dogs must remain on leashes inside the Park at all times. For dogs over 20kg they should be on leashes of not more than 2m in length.
5. If the dog belongs to either Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, Fila Braziliero or a cross involving any of these breeds i.e. fighting dogs or known as a dangerous dog, this type of dog must wear a yellow or red collar, muzzle is required and it should be on a leash not more than 1.5m in length. These breeds of dogs are not allowed to board on Ocean Express.
6. Participants and their dogs are only allowed to stay in designated areas, and these areas will also be opened to all guests. Dogs are not allowed inside rides, most of the animal exhibits, restaurants and Cable Car.
7. Muzzle must be applied to all dogs on the ground inside Ocean Express, otherwise dogs must be pick up by their owner or carried in pet cart/bag.
8. Participants should bring their own drinkable water and water bowl for their dogs. Participants may also buy bottled water or use the drinking fountain inside the Park to refill drinkable water.
9. Please keep the environment clean and hygienic, do not allow the dogs to foul indiscriminately. During event period, dog latrines are provided at the outdoor area nearby the following attractions and facilities, including "Aqua City" First Aid Post, "Ginger Grill", "Aqua City Bakery", Entrance of "Old Hong Kong" at The Waterfront; "Ocean Express Summit Station", "North Pole Encounter", "Cable Car Summit Terminal" Wheelchair Access, Exit of "Pacific Pier" at The Summit. Please clean up after use and dispose the excrement in the dog excreta collection bin.
10. The Public Health (Animals and Birds) Ordinance (Cap.139), the Dogs and Cats Ordinance (Cap. 167), the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Ordinance (cap. 169), the Rabies Ordinance (Cap. 421) and the Protection of Endangered Species of Animals and Plants Ordinance (Cap. 586), and their subsidiary legislations and all other relevant legislations must be fully complied with at all times.
11. Ocean Park reserves the right to deny any dog to enter the Park if:
• microchip is not found and/or vaccine status is not clear;
• the dog is showing signs of illness;
• the dog is showing aggression toward any dog(s) or person(s);
• the dog cannot be controlled by the owner or handler.
12. Each dog must be accompanied by a participant over 12 years old and each participant can only bring ONE dog for the event.
13. The Park has a maximum capacity for dogs at any given time, when the Park has reached its maximum capacity for dogs, the Park will perform capacity control in an one-in one-out basis.
