(Hong Kong – 25 November 2006) To support the “International Day Of Disabled Persons 2006” (IDDP), co-organized by the Joint Council for People with Disabilities, and the Hong Kong Council of Social Service, Ocean Park hosted the “2006 IDDP Ocean Park Fun Day” and invited 4,000 disabled persons and their family members to enjoy a day at the Park.
“We are committed to making the Park accessible to all, and we approach the annual opportunity with IDDP Day with great pride in our Park offering, as well as our employee preparation. The added benefit of social integration for persons with disabilities within the Park experience is a goal we hope to achieve on a regular basis. It has always been an objective for Ocean Park to create unique experiences for our guests through different encounter opportunities, as well as through our entertaining programs, which help them to connect with nature” said Tom Mehrmann, Chief Executive of Ocean Park.
Ocean Park has been hosting the “IDDP Ocean Park Day” every November since 1993. Over the years, more than 50,000 participants from the 18 administrative districts of Hong Kong have shared joyful moments at the Park.
