FREE ADMISSION TO OCEAN PARK FOR 4,000 GUESTS ON IDDP 2008 - OCEAN PARK FUN DAY

2008-11-29

(29 November 2008 – Hong Kong) The 16th International Day of Disabled Persons (IDDP) - Ocean Park Fun Day was held today at Ocean Park, bringing fun and joy to 4,000 guests with disabilities along with their friends and relatives, who all enjoyed free admission to the Park.

To enable more people to enjoy Ocean Park’s offerings and connect with nature, Ocean Park has in place a series of caring initiatives, one of which includes free admission for holders of the Registration Card for People with Disabilities, while one caregiver can come in at half price. Additionally, Ocean Park supports social enterprise initiatives by providing employment opportunities for members of the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals (TWGH) and St James Settlement, as well as purchasing some of its food supplies from TWGH’s Enterprise Vegetable and Fruit Processing and Supply Service.
